Work Focused ESOL Pilot Event

Developing Partnerships to help Parents into Work

16:00-19:00, Wednesday 12 November 2008, Fulham Football Club

Funding agencies increasingly expect providers of employment and skills services to work together, in partnerships or consortia. The Learning and Skills Council (LSC), on behalf of West London Working, is currently tendering for one or more pilots in West London* to test new, work-focused approaches to help parents who have ESOL needs and who are on benefits or working tax credits.

West London Working is hosting a special event at Fulham Football Club between 16:00-19:00 on Wednesday 12 November to support the current tendering exercise.

The purpose of the event is to:

• explain the need for proposals to form part of an integrated journey that helps parents gain sustainable employment and progress at work, and show how this can be achieved; and

• bring together the range of providers that currently deliver employment and skills services for parents in West London.

The event aims to provide you with a unique opportunity to meet and form a partnership with the organisations planning to lead bids for a work focused ESOL pilot. Lead organisations must have been approved by the LSC pre-qualification process.

This event is free. The number of places is limited and are on a first come first served basis, so advance booking is essential.
